Ben Spies Profile

Ben Spies (pronounced /ˈbɛn ˈspiːz/) (born July 11, 1984 in Germantown, Tennessee), also known as "Elbowz" due to his riding style where his elbows protrude outward, is a professional motorcycle road racer who turned pro in 2000. He won the AMA Superbike Championship for Yoshimura Suzuki in 2006 (only the second time since 1999 that his team-mate Mat Mladin had not won it), and successfully defended it in 2007 and 2008.

For 2009 he raced in the Superbike World Championship series for the Yamaha Italia team; winning the championship in his rookie year by six points over rival Noriyuki Haga. He started racing on Yamaha YSR50cc bikes with the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association in Texas as a pre-teen. Spies currently lives in Longview, Texas.

World Superbike (WSBK)

On October 1, 2008, it was confirmed that Spies would join the Superbike World Championship for the 2009 season, riding for the factory Yamaha Italia team. He took pole position for his very first race meeting. He ran off the track on the first lap in race one (recovering to finish sixteenth despite a second incident) but was victorious in race 2 to become the first American to win a WSBK race since Colin Edwards in 2002.

Spies further impressed the World motorcycle racing community by winning both races of the second round in Losail, Qatar. En route, he again secured pole, the subsequent race wins, the fastest lap and the outright circuit lap record.

Ben Spies made history on May 30, 2009 at Miller Motorsports Park. Winning his 7th consecutive pole position during Saturday’s Superpole qualifying, Spies broke the long-standing record of 6 consecutive poles set in 1991 by fellow Texan Doug Polen. The pole set a number of records, including most consecutive pole positions in a season, most pole at the start of a season, and most in a row by a rookie. On October 24, 2009 at Portimão Circuit in Portugal he set a new record in pole securing his 11th pole of his rookie season. (It's worth noting, for non-World SBK fanatics/regulars, that, although there were a total of 28 races, unlike Moto GP, e.g., there are two races per event/location in WSBK. Accordingly, out of 14 events/locations, the vast majority at which Spies had previously had no experience, Spies took 11 poles, or 78%.)

On October 25, 2009 at the final round of the Championship at Portimão, Spies was crowned the 2009 Superbike World Champion after winning Race One, in conjunction with a fall from title rival Noriyuki Haga, and a solid 5th place in Race 2.

MotoGP

On October 1, 2009, Yamaha officially confirmed that Spies will join Yamaha Tech 3 to ride in the 2010 MotoGP Championship.

On October 3, 2009 it was confirmed that Spies would ride as a wildcard in the final MotoGP race of the season at Valencia in November.

"Before becoming incorporated into his the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team on Monday November 9, 2009 in the post-race Valencia test American rider Ben Spies did a good job for Yamaha in Sunday’s final MotoGP contest of the year in Valencia, crossing the line in seventh place – just ahead of Repsol Honda’s Andrea Dovizioso to help future team-mate Colin Edwards up the standings." He managed to finish in front of James Toseland, the rider whose position he will be taking at Tech 3.

2010 Spanish GP (Jerez)

The Spanish Grand Prix was, yet another year, the scenario of the huge celebration of Spanish motorcycling, in which Dani Pedrosa was one of the leading players thanks to his second place in the MotoGP race. The Repsol rider started from the first position on the starting grid and dominated the race from the beginning until the last few turns when, after fending off the relentless pursuit of Jorge Lorenzo, he lost first position. Andrea Dovizioso, with setup problems throughout the weekend, finished sixth, climbing three positions compared to Saturday's qualifying.

touring motorcycle that is perfect for cutting through the urban jungle, devouring highway miles and
carving through challenging mountain passes.

The Tiger is powered by Triumph’s highly-acclaimed 1050cc three-cylinder engine that delivers
113hp at 9,400rpm and 74 ft. lbs. of torque at 6,250rpm. An adjustable sport suspension and 120
front/180 rear sport tires mounted on 17-inch wheels are combined with powerful Nissin brakes for
exceptional, confidence-inspiring handling.

Engine: Powered by Triumph’s highly-acclaimed 1050cc three-cylinder engine, delivering peak power of 113bhp at 9,400rpm and 74ft.lb torque at 6,250rpm. Adjustable sports suspension and 120 front/180 rear sports tires combined with powerful radial front caliper Nissin brakes endow the Tiger with the agility, handling and braking to let you fully exploit the potent triple.

Fuel Tank: The 5.2 gallon fuel tank provides a realistic 200 mile range, adding to the Tiger’s practicality and touring ability.

ABS: Triumph’s Antilock Braking System has been carefully designed to boost control under hard braking, working on both wheels independently. This unobtrusive system retains all the sensations of riding, operating at 100 calculations per second to sense the precise moment the wheel is about to lock up, then preventing it from doing so. The system has been specifically tailored to the Tiger, with painstaking calibration over many months to ensure optimum braking performance.

Triumph Rocket III Roadster 2010

Legendary British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph is introducing the baddest version yet of its 2.3 litre Rocket III, the Rocket III Roadster. The Rocket III Roadster moves out of cruiser territory and transcends into that of the ultimate muscle streetfighter. With all the power and ability of the standard model and the biggest torque figure of any production motorcycle.

Engine

The Rocket III Roadster features the most powerful version yet of the incomparable 2.3 litre, in-line, water cooled, triple. With 146bhp at 5750rpm, the Rocket III Roadster is the most powerful model in Triumph’s range – but it’s the massive torque that really separates the Rocket III Roadster from the rest. With 194Nm, more than any other motorcycle on the market, the Rocket III Roadster accelerates unlike nothing else. But despite its size, the engine is incredibly smooth as the balance, input and rear drive shaft contra-rotate against the crankshaft, which makes for minimal torque reaction.

Brakes

The Rocket III Roadster features a sophisticated anti-lock braking system that makes 100 calculations each second to ensure the rider retains full control under extreme braking. Up front, the twin four-piston calipers are mated to 320mm floating discs to deliver the sort of stopping power you’d expect from a high-performance bike. The rear brake, developed especially by Brembo, is a single twin piston caliper and 316mm disc.

Suspension

Menacingly blacked out 43mm upside down forks offer precise steering while all-new twin shock absorbers at the rear provide a comfortable and composed ride one-up or two. Combined with the mid-mounted controls and revised ergonomics, the Rocket III Roadster offers the sportiest ride of any motorcycle to proudly display the Rocket III badge.

Black Finishes

Two menacing black finishes make the Roadster the meanest looking Rocket III yet. The motorcycle is available in sparkling Phantom Black or a minimalist Matt Black option, with the stripped down, ready for action look enhanced with some equally shadowy components. From the Roadster’s 2.3 litre heart to the 43mm forks up front, the blacked out components of the Rocket III Roadster ooze classic streetfighter aggression.

Chassis

In sparkling Phantom Black or menacing Matt, the Rocket III Roadster oozes menace and quality in equal dozes. The chassis is a tubular steel twin-spine design using the engine as a stressed member for maximum stiffness and control. New ergonomics place the rider in an ideal position to push the bike effortlessly into corners, while the blacked out components perfectly match the aggressive streetfighter styling and ensure the Roadster looks as good as it goes.

Install Lambo Door

Below is a way to install lambo door, before installing I suggest you to prepare equipment.

Remove fender of a car with a take of the bolts on the engine bay and around the wheel wells. Also do not forget the bolts near the lamp inside the engine bay and the underside of the lid skirt

With a closed door meeting took masking tape or duct tape and placed across the roof / windshield, door to door and window. This will allow you to see how much adjusting needed to be made when the door comes from its hinges.

With someone leaning against the door to make sure that nothing will fall on you when you break the bolts loose, took the 10 bolts holding the door hinges on the stock. Mark the hinge to which side they came off so if you take the hinge off you'll be putting them on the right side.

Attach hinges to the car and loose mounting bolts into the car. Get all the bolts to the car then you can make adjustments with tightening them later. The upper part of this kit using only two bolts, not three like the factory hinges.

Tighten down all really tight with the door bolt held in place. Adjustments can be made later if necessary. Be sure not to over tighten the bolts go into the door they're easy to strip in some cases.

Did someone lift the door while you screw into the upper arm shock mount (blue) on the hinge and then pop his head in shock (red) to the ball together. There are two types of farm laborers who shear pin down the ball around the head to lock into place.

Time to roll the fender. I used tin snips and cut a small cut down the bumper and 45-degree angle at the end and folded back with pliers and a hammer. After placing the fender and mounting it with a few bolts I noticed that the door would not open enough to clean the stopper without hitting the fender.

Some kits come with bolt holes under the cut as a slide to make up for small adjustments. Mine will not tighten enough and wants to disrupt the harmony of the slide and when I lifted the door after a few days.

After all is said in done the lambo doors will probably need one more adjustment after about a week after getting the shock settled in and you see how the door closes and opens.

2009 Yamaha MT-01

2009 Yamaha MT-01 you can find pictures and wallpapers various types of motor yamaha here

Yamaha: always pushing innovative model ideas

With this unique combination of a strong, pulsating engine and a sports oriented chassis especially developed for the European market Yamaha confidently pursues the concept innovation approach
.

2009 Yamaha MT-01

The MT-01 is the bike that started the "Torque Sports" revolution.

Sports Torque is a unique kind of motorcycling experience, and the MT-01 is one of the finest examples of this breed. Torque Sports performance opens up a new world of sports riding because it offers an alternative to high RPM rush to today's in-line four cylinder supersport bikes. Grab a handful of throttle and discover the arm stretching torque that flows from the MT-01's massive V-Twin powerplant.

Maximum torque is unleashed at a mere 3,750 rpms. The MT-01's soul stirring torque is guaranteed to put a smile on your face while the agile sports chassis offers its rider all the exhilaration of a supersport machine. At Yamaha we recognize that as many sport riders mature, they often seek a slightly less extreme alternative. If you are ready to take the next step in sports riding, you owe it to yourself to check out the revolutionary 2009 MT-01.

The MT series is here to shake up the streets with a whole new style of sports riding. We call it Torque Sports and it's all about uniting big-piston engines with sports chassis for a dramatic new riding experience. Our Torque Sport roadsters perform to a different kind of beat, like Japan's legendary Kodo drumbeat, an earth-trembling expression of awesome latent power produced by massive bass drums.

Minimal… maximal… the MT-01 seems like a mass of contradictions, like nothing you’ve ever known before, an air-cooled 1,670 cc V-twin that rocks like a sports bike. The MT-01 is a revolutionary motorcycle, with a soulbeat character that unleashes maximum torque at 3,750 rpm, when most engines are still half asleep. That’s the whole idea of Torque Sports – mega-thrust is right there, the instant you grab the throttle. And this mega-capacity, long-stroke engine is bolted into an aluminium supersport-derived frame with R1-style truss swingarm, 43 mm upside-down forks, low-slung rear shock, radial-mounted calipers and a uniquely chiselled, radical design. MT-01 – performs like nothing else on this earth.

EVERY BEAT OF THIS ENGINE IS AN EVENT
The heart of the MT-01 is its engine - a massive, air-cooled, 1,670cc V-twin drumming out its own kind of heartbeat that will reverberate through motorcycling history. This is iconic sports performance like nothing else on the street, unleashing mega torque and a throbbing exhaust note from its long-stroke crankshaft, forged pistons, ultra-efficient pent roof combustion chambers and ceramic composite-plated cylinders.

TORQUE SPORTS FROM TICK-OVER TO REDLINE
This monumental V-twin has been tuned for Torque sports.
At low rpm the massive pulsing torque output delivers an instant rush of thrust. And at increased revs - peak torque arrives at 3,750 rpm - that thrust growls and swells to produce astonishing sports performance. The low-mass crankshaft encourages easy-revving performance, while the tall-ratio gearbox allows you to use the incomparable torque output to maximum effect. In other words, no matter what the revs are, the enjoyment is all yours with MT-01.

MINIMUM CHASSIS, MAXIMUM ENGINE
With a bike like the MT-01 the engine has got to be the centre of attention, so when we came to designing the frame we wanted it to be minimal, to allow the engine to rule, and yet great to look at.

Which is why we used our exclusive CF die-cast technology. This hi-tech process - developed by Yamaha - allows lighter, more intricate castings, giving us the freedom to create a weldless frame that is stiff, light, compact and stunning to look at. The upside-down truss-style swingarm - similar to the arm used on our YZF-R1 supersport weapon - is also cast aluminium for an optimum stiffness/flex ratio, contributing to the bike’s confidence-inspiring handling.

INHALE
The MT-01 breathes in and lives. Yamaha engineers focused special attention on the bike’s intake system, working to cram the delivery of fresh, dense air into those massive cylinders for a lusty, big-torque feeling. Air enters the large-capacity, variable intake downdraft airbox - neatly housed within the frame - to feed the digital fuel injection system, featuring twin-bore downdraft injectors for astonishing low-rpm performance and transient power characteristics.

EXHALE
The MT-01 lives and breathes out. It feeds on gasoline and air, the burned mix exhaling through a titanium exhaust system that maximises the MT-01’s pounding heartbeat. Superbly sculpted from large-radius curves for reduced exhaust-flow resistance, the exhaust system – featuring a muffler cover cooling system - uses Yamaha’s renowned Supersport-bred EXUP device, for enhanced low-rpm torque, and culminates in magnificent twin mufflers that emit a rhythmic, throbbing beat you can both feel and hear.

SENSORY OVERLOAD
Just in front of you, the MT-01’s dash panel tells the story of every mile travelled, its 3D-effect analogue tacho marking every heartbeat, its digital speedo so easy to read. Even the instrument illumination contributes to the MT-01 riding experience, with individually adjustable backlighting for each device. DimensionsOverall length 2,185 mm
