Never have I ridden a dirtbike that attracts as much attention as this. Everyone who spies it does a double-take, makes a beeline for my pit area, gives the bike a good once-over and then waxes poetic about the futuristic styling: the shape of the frame, seat and plastic; the far-out front fender supports; the foam-covered air inlets in what appears to be the gas tank; and the dual exhaust outlets under the seat. Yet ironically, most don't notice the very feature that makes the Aprilia MXV 4.5 unique.

From its spaceship styling to its twin-cylinder engine, there's never been another motocrosser like the Aprilia MXV 4.5. We're not sure where you're supposed to stick your numbers, though.
Handling is excellent, particularly on the fast, rough tracks that are common in Europe (go figure). The spring rates felt too soft under my 200-plus pounds when landing off big jumps, and more so after shock fluid began seeping past the compression adjusters. But over big, sandy, desert-style whoops or braking bumps, the MXV was magic. Steering is better in fast sweepers than slow switchbacks, and the 238-pound (dry) bike does feel a tad heavy when it gets out of shape. Also, the engine is a bit low and wide, so the footpegs drag in rutted corners. But overall, this is a fine first effort from a company that most people don't realize started out making dirtbikes before turning its attention to the street.

2010 Kawasaki Z1000

After a year absence, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki returned to the high performance roadster roots by bringing back to the bike Z1000 United States line-up for the New Year.

And while the name remains the same, 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 has been dismantled from top-to-bottom to provide an easier and more entertaining way to look for motorcyclists pleasant and civilized sport-oriented bike path.

Why Bring Back?

The Z1000 is a style of Streetfighter motorcycles, which are basically stripped of sportbike part of the bodywork and equipped with standard handlebar. While their anger in Europe (I've seen them everywhere in Italy), here in the United States from A, the style of this motorcycle continued to struggle on the floor compared to sales management sportbike gift brothers. However, the Kawasaki felt had something special with redesigned Z1000. So, once again he was imported to the United States.

So what Special About It?

Previous Z1000 is a unique bike. While there are certain attributes we enjoy, including strong personality and sporty machine-but-relaxed ride position, there are also elements that just funky-biggest complaints handling strange, excessive engine vibration and the love-it-or - hate -it styling. Latest Zed-1 does away with the flukes, plus, basically constructed nature of pleasure thus providing a fast, easy, and ultimately entertaining motorcycle to operate.

Skin Deep

Based on similar exterior profile, one might assume that the new Z1000 is a modified version of an old bicycle. But it did not happen. New bike using purpose-built engine, frame and rear suspension (more on those later).

Visual designers provide a comprehensive nip / tuck. Bike lines have been sharpened to provide a more contemporary form. Additional bodywork added in the form of sharp stomach and fork guards present. Prizes also stretched front and the double house lights renewed. To the rear, it remains high mounted tail neatly with the bright lights of the LED-style rear and trapezoidal in shape signature quad exhaust pipes. The Z1000 is available in two colors: Metallic Black Spark Stardust and Pearl White.

Control is also enhanced and highlighted by a thick tubular aluminum handlebar, compact LCD instrumentation, and style brake fluid reservoir. Furthermore, the instrument display angle can be adjusted in three positions through a small plastic adjustment button. This gives Z1000 elegant, yet sporty cockpit similar appearance Ducati Streetfighter.

Under the Hood

Zed-1 are now using the very own 1043cc liquid-cooled inline-Four engine. Kawasaki claims the new machine using the architecture itself and not based on the previous good '953cc bike ZX-9R-derived motor current or found in the Ninja ZX-10R. A 90cc bump in displacement is calculated by boring a bit smaller (77.2 vs. 77.0 mm) and larger stroke (56.0 vs. 50.9mm). Although added piston stroke, the exterior dimensions are almost the same engine as before. Compressed fuel costs by a ratio of 11.8:1 and the engine features a racing tuning tricks including 16-valve cylinder heads are operated by dual overhead camshafts. Internal counter counterweight, driven by a gear on the crankshaft, reducing engine vibration.

Captured air intake through the air induction system that uses a spoon intake on each side of the machine. Exhaust is handled by the 4-2-2 exhaust system with a belly-mounted pre-space. This allows Mufflers become lighter and more compact than before. A proper exhaust valve to maximize performance through the rev range of 11,000 plus. Finally, three catalyzers reduce emissions in the exhaust is also installed. Chassis

Front 41mm Showa inverted fork offers a conventional three-way independent adjustment for spring preload, compression and rebound damping.
2010 Kawasaki Z1000s brake is a mixture of old and new. Sitting in front of a pair of petal-style discs 300mm diameter driven by a pair of Tokico radial-mount 4-piston calipers as used on the Ninja ZX-10R.

New five-spoke cast aluminum wheels size 3.5 x 17-inches in front and 5.0 x 17-inches in the rear. Both rims were painted silver, black, and features engine and polished edge on the talk in which he clung to the edge of the Z1000 provides a custom look. Street Riding Impression

Hop in the saddle and the first thing one notices is how low 32.1-in. seat height feels. This helps the driver in keeping both feet firmly planted in the ground at stops. Just as impressive is how the engine is between the legs narrow-benefit rider clear and re-engineered aluminum frame subframe.

On the road, Zed-1 to maintain signature sporty-yet-relaxed ride position, which proves sport riders can have the best of both worlds. The frame and fuel tank features an ergonomically correct cut-out for the pilot's knee. Footpegs and handlebar location in relation to contributing to the position of chair seats and govern well received by the same high and short riders during our trip.

Launching a lot of stops is a simple matter for effective action cable-actuated clutch and short first gear. Axis to direct the gas and one value Z1's ridiculously smooth powerband. Fat bottom end power without overruling and low revs the engine vibration almost nothing.

Keep the throttle pegged and the engine spools up relaxed, so it's important to choose the appropriate equipment if the maximum acceleration is your mission. At about 8000 revs the engine suddenly stood at attention a solid mid-range push. Like, the inside of your helmet will be overwhelmed by the howling of addiction intake.

Kawasakis always known induction noise, but it Z1000 took him to a new level. Instead, the engine's exhaust note is still weak. It's about here that the engine began to vibrate slightly, but never becomes annoying. As you approach the redline howl back a little, but the machines still continue to share power distribution unintimidating.

Apart from a strong but mild-mannered power delivery, probably my favorite feature of the Z1000 engine is smooth rev-limiter. As opposed to other motors, when rev limiter is found, the engine suddenly stopped not accelerated. Instead gradually slowed, indicating that it was time to upshift. Take another gear and you'll appreciate the positive changes in the short and the throw lever offered by the transmission.

Although Zed-1 shares the front brake calipers with the above mentioned Ninja ZX-10R, the front brakes did not feel quite as sharp as they did in Superbike premiums. Feeling not quite equal, but there are many reasonable for everyday use on the street and not be passed for all but the most intelligent sports rider. Meanwhile, the rear brakes function place-on with a feeling that allows you to further explore traction vs.-up key points from the rear tire.

In the parking lot speeds Zed-1 showed several peaks that were heavy as it could be related to the location of the peak height of four gallon steel fuel tank. But as speeds increase above 20 mph or more, the nature of lost and replaced with absolute surefootedness.

Relying on the handlebar and dipped into the Z1000's turn with very little effort for the 481-lb motorcycle. Hold back and the bike fell to the side of the tire-never expected more or less than the requested driver. Additional speed only makes exceptional handling and even triple-digit speeds have little effect on overt chassis stability, whether cornering or during a wide-open straight-line acceleration. This gives the driver confidence she needed to explore the limits of the motor.

During our road trip, the speed is never hot enough to find out whether the problems plague this motor ground clearance. However, bicycle tires properly complete the handling, offering leading predicable and handles on both wet and dry pavement.

During acceleration, braking or cornering, suspension offers the perfect balance to the front and back. Even more impressive is the way in which the rear suspension performance. This is also adept at absorbing damage due to rough pavement is smooth corner-attack eager to offer the best riders from both worlds in terms of cornering performance and driving comfort. Although the shock does not allow for compression damping adjustments, we never felt the need to change anything.

Read instrumentation, but we are not a huge fan of the small font-style LCD Tachometer bar. We also will appreciate the addition of the indicator gear position. Mirror, however, offer a clear, buzz-free look at what's happening behind you regardless of speed, which is a remarkable attribute to the road bike.

Closing Thoughts

Before you actually have ridden the new Z1000, I am confused why Kawasaki would introduce this style of bike in the United States considers the tiny delicate demographic and historical sales. After the ride, though, I've learned this bike really is more suited to hardcore sports fans who will be riding Supersport usually choose obvious.

Not only is the $ 10,499 asking price equal to the 2010 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, for your costs get bigger, more powerful bike more suitable for everyday living on the streets. Engines smooth, flexible, and for most vibration-free, and offers more easily accessible real world performance. Its cockpit is a perfect balance between sport and comfort. Handling is good playing games and predicable. And suspension, especially the rear, offering exceptional compliance in nearly every surface of asphalt found. Factor in the striking new look and a high level of build quality and be difficult to convey the new Z1000 when it comes to choosing your next bike path.

From across the street, you'd be forgiven if you mistook the new Suzuki TU250X for a well-kept T250. Except for the single-cylinder four-stroke engine, front disc brake and a few other modern amenities, it pretty much is a '71 T250. Small, lightweight and stylish, the TU is great for beginners or nostalgic riders who want the retro look coupled with modern reliability and performance.

The little Suzuki is powered by an efficient 249cc air-cooled single, updated for the 21st century with fuel injection and electronic ignition for instant starts and smooth running in all conditions. Replacing the blue haze of its pre-mix predecessor, the TU sucks straight 87 octane. To keep emissions low, exhaust is treated to a last-minute dose of fresh air from the well-hidden pulse-air plumbing before being forced through a catalytic converter housed within that tapered chrome muffler.

The TU has the stability of a low-slung scooter, with the comfort to match. The saddle is generously padded, as is the pillion seat.

The 18-inch spoke wheels and large fenders exude classic style. Smooth lines, lustrous paint and an inviting size attract the eye, but look a little closer and you'll see a number of styling details usually reserved for more expensive models. The bar ends, horn, chain guard and various fasteners are chrome-plated-not the sort of attention to detail you'd expect on a bargain-priced motorcycle. Even the engine cases and fork lowers have been polished, adding to the TU's glimmering appearance. Kudos to Suzuki for cramming so much style into such an affordable package.

Bulbous side panels conceal most of the engine's unsightly life-support systems, keeping the engine window clean and uncluttered. Turn the right-side screw with a coin and the panel pops off to reveal the battery, fuse box and tool kit. Removing the left-side cover provides access to the air filter.

Braking duties are handled by a 275mm rotor and Gladius-spec Tokico two-piston caliper. A surprisingly effective drum brake resides out back.

Slip into the TU's sumptuously padded saddle and the swept-back bars place your hands at an agreeable height and width. Large, rubber-swathed footpegs offer a secure perch, with the big, knurled rear brake lever and shift lever within easy reach. A simple analog speedometer with odometer and tripmeter grace the top of the chrome headlight bucket. The minimalist dash is finished with large neutral and low-fuel lights inset in the black triple clamp.

Dab the starter and the little single jumps to life, settling into a barely-audible pitter-patter idle. Not too experienced with a clutch? The TU's short gearing and robust low-rpm torque make learning the basics simple. Setting the bike into motion is as easy as releasing the clutch lever. Left to idle, the 250 will creep along steadily at walking speed.

Once underway, the TU feels smooth and stable, propelled by a gentle wave of tractable power. A long wheelbase and low center of gravity contribute to a planted feel, whether plonking along in a parking lot or cruising down the boulevard. Power is sufficient to get the jump on city traffic, but brisk acceleration requires quick movement through the five-speed gearbox and a heavy hand on the throttle. Shift action is succinct, but things can get sticky when the engine gets hot sitting in traffic or after sustained high-rpm cruising.

Like on its bigger brothers, Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder plating has been applied to the little TU to help improve power, efficiency and longevity.

Although its small size and humble displacement are best suited to cross-town jaunts or gentle back-road meanders, the Suzuki fares pretty well on the freeway. With the throttle rolled to the stop it tops out at about 85 mph, with the engine turning at what sounds like 8000 rpm. At freeway speed vibration is minimal, and the large mirrors provide a clear view of the rushing commuters bearing down on you. Despite the narrow 90/90 Cheng Shin front tire, the bike is unruffled by rain grooves and pavement irregularities, thanks no doubt to its generous trail. Braking equipment is more than ample to quickly slow the little TU from maximum speed, and the front brake lever has a taut, responsive feel. With 3.2 gallons of the cheap stuff on board, you can easily ride 150 miles between fill-ups. With a gentle wrist we were able to get about 68 mpg. Caning it on the freeway dropped that figure to 50 mpg.

The TU's 30.3-inch seat height and 328-lb. wet weight mean even smaller riders shouldn't find it a handful. The relaxed ergonomics proved acceptable to a surprisingly broad spread, from our tallest (6'2") to our shortest (5'4") test riders. Chalk it up to that soft, wide seat and those excellent handlebars.

While classic styling and an affordable price tag will attract riders to the TU250X, its sweet demeanor and reliable performance will seal the deal. If you're looking for a retro-style commuter or a friendly first bike, this just might be it.

How did a country that's still in love with Jerry Lewis, Smurfs and mayonnaise on French fries come up with this? Once you rule out divine intervention and the second coming of Carroll Shelby, it all comes down to an engineer by the name of Joël Domergue, who has been working on the Wakan 100 Roadster in one way or another since he was 14. He was bitten by American muscle-cars in general and Shelby's AC Cobra in particular-the glorious improbability of a crazy, retired racer from Leesburg, Texas, stuffing 7 liters of Ford V8 into a spindly little British roadster. Nobody else had come up with a two-wheeled interpretation, so Domergue built this one.

Honda seems to roll. After upgrading their scooter, they shift their focus to their bikes. Beautiful beautiful that have been launched with a makeover at the Auto Expo 2010.
The pressure of competition is to take the best from all companies. After launching the new Pulsar 135 on the LS 125 - 135cc segment, beautiful bike may be the most hurt.

And here comes Honda with a kickass answer, upgrade to an existing bike. The makeover is mostly cosmetic and most of the tidbits borrowed from relatives injected fuel, which pretty PGM-Fi.

We compile the new features of this bike:

Tachometer: We still do not understand why this bike is not equipped with Tachometer when launched. Anyway, better late than not at all; Honda Tachometer comes with a premium for a bike, finally!

New engine cowl: The bike got a small but good enough search engine cowl under the engine enough to remind RTRs Apache. Further increase the already hot look of the bike.

New Graphics: The bike is also getting upgraded Honda trademark, graphs. This is probably the best mix of graphics done in India by HMSI and they have further improved on it. Bike looked eager and alive after an upgrade and a fresh new stickers.


Half Chain include: In an effort to strengthen the nature of sport bikes, the cover has been given a conventional chain and a new sporty half chain cover took place reminiscent of a beautiful PGMFi version.

Sporty RVMs: This bike has been provided with a new set of rear view mirror as well to show their sporty look.

Black Engine theme: Continue with the latest trends, the bike will sport an all black theme combinations.

End bar weight: motorcycle handlebars too heavy exercise to curb the creeping end of vibration in the higher RPM on this motor borrowed from PGMFi version.

Reducing black shield: Go with the overall theme, the bike also got a shield, black silencer for a black to match the overall styling.

No Kick-Lever: The lever kicks of another has been released in accordance with the latest trends.

Maintenance Free Battery & Viscous Air Filters: These two things seem to be finding a place in all Honda products slowly and for a good cause. New beautiful also make them as standard.

Price: This bike is expected premium price above the existing models slightly. We hope that the line model for the price around 59-60k in Pune road with entry level base model costing 52-53k on the road Pune.

With the addition of several new features, the motor is ready to take on rivals and we expect a just war and the decision will rest with the new variant of consumer.A beautiful Honda was established in Auto Expo. Will have the same 124.7cc engine that produces 11 bhp and torque of 11 nm. It comes with a digital CDI ignition. I will soon upload a video!

TVS Star Sport

TVS brand has become very popular over the last few years and clearly the company wants to increase the popularity of the trip. Almost 75% of the company's sales come from the brand bike stars. Yet another star who was born recently are TVS Star Sports coming in version 2. Sport basic version comes in two colors; Carbon black and red jets, and alloy wheels. Deluxe version is equipped with a fuel gauge and double-toned sporty chrome graphics in about 3 colors, black, blue and silver.

If you want me to review the performance of TVS Star, let me tell you that the bike comes with the Sport 99.7cc engine and give 7.5bhp peak power. Sport brother similar to Star City, which comes with a down-tubed chassis and four-speed gearbox. Suspension has looked the same as those in Star City, but the rear one comes with a 5-step adjustable stroke only slightly longer than the First City. Sport comes with alloy wheels, and what makes them different from the City is that the new face-lift silencer (silencer and matte chrome heat shield with dual pod cluster). I reviewed another indicator Star Sport and they came as usual with the dome light and lights the pilot 5. (TVS review this feature to be one of the first in this segment).

Body panels and tail lamps received some tweaking to give a more streamlined appearance and overall elegance of the rear. Slim fuel tank and side panels double tight to make it interesting. The vibration is still a problem that TVS may have to deal with seriously in the coming days to provide serious competition big names in the market.

So he said, Star Sport is basically an economic cycle is targeted at middle-class masses. Prices fell to one version below the 40k mark. 2010 Yamaha Byson

Products Yamaha sport bike Byson will be coming soon in Indonesia. This is possible because the production license to produce the type of sport bike has been entered into the Ministry of Industry, Indonesia. Yamaha Byson own name is certain to be given to motor sport that takes the same platform with the Yamaha V-Ixion.

Honda CBR1000RR: Sportbike of the Year

Certainly there are aspects of this job that one can take for granted i.e. getting to ride all the latest and greatest powersports equipment. And with the constant and never ending flow of new motorcycles, it becomes difficult to remember each and every bike's individual attributes. This afternoon, I took a spin aboard the 2009 , recipient of our Sportbike of the Year award, and I can say is WOW!

Recently, having ridden a variety of other less-performance oriented street bikes, I forgot just how awesome of a machine Honda’s superbike is. It’s simply amazing the amount of performance has laced this bike with. Perhaps even better, is that this performance doesn’t come at the cost of day-to-day road worthiness.

The engine’s powerband is smooth and easy to manipulate, as is its light-action clutch and faultless transmission. Feel like just cruising? Then keep the rpms below 6000 and short-shift through each of its six gears. Feel like letting er’ rip? Pin the throttle and excess revs expose its fat mid-range, which scoots you forward like nothing else this side of a catapult. Plus, the engine offers minimal vibration throughout its 13,300 rev range while remaining as quiet as Grandma’s sewing machine.

Equally as exciting are its braking capabilities which make the act of stopping argueably as entertaining as accelerating. Like the engine, its Showa suspension bits are adaptable and can be set-up to deliver a forgiving ride on the street or a taunt, racy experience around the track. Lastly, the rider compartment is about as tolerant as sportbikes come.
