Yamaha Fino Retro

The new additional Yamaha Fino Retro, with different color. Yamaha fino is using 125cc engine which is so high enough for Indonesian young bikers. actually this motor bike is closely the same with the yamaha mio but this Yamaha fino stile of more Classical than yamaha mio which is more futurisctic at the deign. Yamaha fino is looked like a romantic futuristic motor bike then if you ride it i believe that any body will likes you.

More additional yamaha mio motor bike modification. for you who have Yamaha mio motor bike and you don't have much money to modify your motor bike to be looked like a male Yamaha mio motor bike then you can use this motor bike modification to be looked like as yours. this blue matic motor bike is so cool as cool as the air brush color which is semi metalic with smooth air brush. i like it somuch :D

Bajaj pulsar And Honda Tiger Revo

Ok, this is for the second time to do a comparison between Indobikers Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTS-i vs Honda Tiger Revo. It seemed to both of our products do not have to bother to describe the features offered to both products. To review any matters Riding is apparently not questioned because rata2 we've tried both:-D

How much money i need to spend to modify his motor bike? if it is less then 3million rupiahs then i will modify my bajaj pulsar to be looked like this motor bike. Don’t wash your motorcycle with detergent or kerosene as it may damage the painted surface.Clean the external part of your motorcycle engine with some kerosene and wipe it with a clean and dry rag.Clean your vehicle regularly with low pressure water and ensure that before cleaning you cover the ignition switch, silencer, H.T. Coil and all electrical parts with plastic sheets. It is a good and beautiful design for wonderful P200 motor bike.

Komparas more systematically in order to make Indobikes the 4 main criteria taken into consideration often sorang pilihanya bikers on the product are:

1.
The design and features of the motor
2.
Motor performance
3.
Brand and resale value
4.
After sales network
5.
Price motors & Value for money = include criteria 1-4

For excellence will be a landslide (2 points), while for the benefits will only get a thin (poin1)

Design and Features

*
Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTS-i practically like a nut on two sides with the Pulsar 180 DTS-i is what distinguishes the design of seat and exhaust stacks. Features that give an added value to its competitors Pulsar 200 is oil cooler, digital speedometer and cast alloy wheels
*
Honda Tiger Revo 200 - If the benchmark used is the standard Revo features cast alloy wheels and rear discs can be eliminated. In invisible visible side of elegance, especially when compared with the version of Tiger Revo CW.

Conclusion: The features offered by a landslide winner Pulsar Revo

(Pulsar 2 - Revo 0)

Motor Performance

*
Navel 200 DTS-i practically 20cc bigger than his elder brother. But with the weight of 145 kg (M600 Monster compare it only 168 kg) of additional power to 18hp at 8000 rpm can be practically useless. Top Speednya only 128 km / j. 0-60 acceleration for business is decreasing to 5.80 sec
*
Tiger Revo weighs 137 kg with a top speed 125 km / hour. Acceleration is 5.66 sec for 0-60 km / j. Power by 8500 rpm 16.7 hp seems not wasted

Conclusion: Although less powerful but lighter weight makes Revo plus superior acceleration of the pulsar

(Pulsar 2 - Revo 1)

Brand and Resale Value

*
Bajaj brand is the weakest point of the product or Pulsar dynasty. Besides identical with the classical three-wheeled vehicles many consumers either ordinary or the schools of the two-wheeled world still doubt the quality of Bajaj products. Receive the effects resale value and brand-wheeler bervariatif if sold outside the big cities it becomes a question
*
Honda is a Honda. If there is a product of the most recognized motor is Honda. Even the name of Honda in Indonesia has a separate warranty. Resale value is very evenly Honda products, even if sold in the most remote areas though.

Conclusion: Comparing with the Bajaj Brand Honda is like David vs. Goliath, Honda winning a landslide from Bajaj

(Pulsar 2 - Revo 3)

Network Sales, Service, Spare part

*
Like new ATPM Bajaj prospective owners are often plagued with network Sales, Service and Spare part. Even Bajaj enthusiasts in remote places often complain of difficulty woo Pulsar. Even they had to cross the ocean just to get this black wolf
*
Honda showroom and Ahass like ants. There is everywhere and anywhere. Apart from consumer complaints against the service but this has Ahass be evidence that AHM network better than the BAI

Conclusion: Just like Brand, Revo Support Network is much better than Pulsar

(Pulsar 2 - Revo 5)

Price motors - Value for Money (criteria 1-4)

*
Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTS-i valued Rp 20.000.000, - Pulsar advantages from its competitors is the design and features.
*
Honda Tiger Revo 20,400,000 USD Standard appreciated advantages of sainganya Revo is covering Performance, Brand-resale value and network support 3s AHM

Final conclusions

Here was clear when a comparison between the variants is Hi-end Pulsar variants against Tiger Revo Low end. With the price of only 400 thousand just adrift seen the benefits of Honda Tiger Revo products Standard of Pulsar 200 DTS-i. This is due to the difference in price is bound up very closely between the Bajaj brand with Honda establishment. Another case with Pulsar 180 DTS-I when juxtaposed with the Revo or Revo CW STD adrift priced 4 and 7 million is a significant advantage factor. Despite the controversy surrounding senior AHM statement, it seems, if consumers want to choose a motor crusier Tiger Revo choose the STD for value for money because this may be the only product AHM with Value for money is appropriate:-D if you want the product a better alternative to the only option Another is the Pulsar 180 DTS-i. Not Pulsar 200 DTS-i and not Tiger Revo CW.

Yamaha Mio Matic To be Sport

At the previous post we had talked about the modifikasi of yamaha mio which is modified being as Sport motor bike. and in this time we are going to talk about the second modification of Yamaha mio dimodifikasi jadi Motor GP. Well you can watch at the back of the motor bike, there you can see that it still using the original wheel disk of Yamaha mio. Check for any leakage from battery. It should be clean and free from any leakages. In case of non-use of motorcycle, battery should be kept fully charged and electrolyte level should be at Top mark. This modification was originaly posted by oto.detik.com, it is really cool is not it?? i believe that you like it so much

When the first tima i watch this matic bike i remember with the bike of power ranger. it have futuristic design and really cool color. i love two color, they are black and white and this cool bike is really impress me.

You will not believe it, it is the new Yamaha mio which is usually known as a motor matic bike. it is now being as the new motor bike with additional body. actually there several picture in this blog which is talking about yamaha mio which is modified as a male motor bike. in another post i had write the modification of yamha mio which is modified as GP bike. you will not believe it. it so cool but i ofte thinking about the comfortability of the bike. is it so comfort enough. look at the back wheel of this motor bike, the wheel is so small is not it? may be it is the original wheel of yamaha mio. it is really different motor bike that there is no one which have the same motor bike like yours.

New Yamaha Mio MX 2009

Just read on the two portals automotive, http://kawasaki-modifikasi.blogspot.com/ http://yamaha-modifikasi.blogspot.com/ with no article reviews both Vale and Lorenzo presence in Thailand ... Here is explained that both drivers' more in the front "to launch the New Mio MX 125 cc, even in the Vale & Lorenzo launch took time to encourage New Mio 125 cc Fiat Yamaha livery ... so in automotive, Vale & Lorenzo launches New Nouvo 150 cc ....

Well so confused of MX ... I saw the reply rumors lately Together Mas Taufik article and picture that is closer to the truth is launching New Mio 125 cc .... and the modification described yamaha-full of new specifications mio 125 cc ... please direct to its website ...

And also possible after Thailand, Indonesia, which in turn visited by Vale & Lorenzo ... and about what the agenda prepared by YMKI? whether or Yamaha New Bison Mio 125? given for the segment as automatic ... Honda's closest competitor is not no mercy while attacking this segment in the segment Sport ... Yamaha is still coll with Vixion

Ducati in my Opinion

Every brand motor has advantages and disadvantages, and also have the appeal and what makes consumers become "ilfeel": mrgreen: nah, this time saia will discuss about the things I hate about Ducati when viewed from a subjective point of view!

red, red red, red if not sin!

* Color Red: Frankly indobikers favorite color is metallic blue and Lime Green. Unfortunately Ducati does not offer these colors in its product lineup except on Monster S4R variant. Itupun ducati keep consumers feel "guilty" when choosing colors other than red! although yellow, black and white is also interesting, but still seemed less comfortable if the color is not red!

Note the size of the gas tank, elongated and slender, as if ready to torture *****

* Petrol tank Anorexia: I do not know what is in the minds of engineers Bologna. The reason is very small Ducati tank. Even compared to Tiger Revo tank with a capacity of 5-6 times smaller capacity is still more qualified. Not to mention the brakes because a certain section of a normal man would be crushed and of course resulted in the track-day closed at night!

* Compulsory Termignoni: Compared to competitors' products, without the presence of slip on exhaust Aftermarket Ducati voice sounds similar to skutik: lol: not yet finished, any aftermarket exhaust fitted and it does not match, if not from termignoni!

could be a decoration, but his voice was annoying because often suspected broken bike!

* Voice Clutch Dry: dry Kopiling indeed proved capable serving giant Ducati torque and also become part of the Ducati because fashion can be easily custom. It's just like the sound of his voice filled with empty cans of whipped stone and often makes people think this Ducati bike was damaged: lol:

* Prices are exorbitant: Throughout the world price is adrift Ducati 30-40% of the competitors products. Strangely though the prices/ Harganya always go too far much for their sales targets, kendari as the global financial crisis in 2008-09, even Yamaha can not, so it is not no reason for them to lower prices
accecories or aksesoris/
accessories

Bison FZ160

It is true in the technical specifications are Bison FZ160 Yamaha V-Ixion below. Bison FZ160 only just 14hp and torque 13.6nm compared with V-Ixion who reach 16hp and torque that reaches 14.5 nm technology also carried away, V-Ixion's Injection SOHC and has used the radiator.

Appearances can beat FZ160 specifications and performance V-Ixion

Ok, in terms of FZ160 certainly looks more ferocious look. The reason is the base model used is the Yamaha FZ6 and FZ1 which is true streetfighter. And as usual here is the appearance of all things, as well as soap operas where the performance artist looks is more important than acting ability. Following advantages compared FZ 160 V-xion:

1. Rear tire size of 140 was recorded higher than even Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
2. Bison FZ160 exhaust form that resembles YZF-R6 far more beautiful than the stock exhaust's V-Ixion.
3. FZ160 large tank besides supporting performances are also supporting the comfortable
4. FZ160 headlamps headlamp ketibang more modern V-Ixion is still retro
5. Although tuna FZ160 engine radiator but looks full, while the V-Ixion hollow.
6. In overal shape resembling a bull FZ160 more handsome than the V-xion conventional

So if released before the Bison FZ160 V-Ixion Vixi fate may well not now. But that clearly should be released YMKI pleased this bike, considering the price which existed under Vixi at least not be able to increase sales of yamaha, but also capable of pounding the 125cc class bike like bajaj XCD 125, Thunder to Megapro. ... Is subjective lho!

2010 Yamaha LEXAM

Not yet released garputala automatic scooter with a platform that appeared normal a few days before then, there again that carries automatic scooter concepts and newer technologies. Lexam Yamaha's display in Vietnam earlier in October 2009.

Only it will be released in 2010. This motor offers automatic scooter with aura thicker duck for body design, 17-inch rim, and still drive chain.

In Southeast Asia, the percentage of motorcycles with the largest type of Underbone still in the range of 60%. Sales figures at the end of the year 2009 is estimated 10.55 million units in Southeast Asia.

While Yamaha Nouvo is still available new Nouvo in Southeast Asia except Indonesia has a rather unique design, call it 16-inch diameter wheels front and back. CVT installed in the rear wheel. Double suspension shorter. This could be due to past results would have a long research.

This was later on followed by a comparatively successful Skywave. As we know, the motor vehicle that duck is so popular because of the ease in driving and fun.

So from that Lexam was created to bridge between the motor with automatic duck. Lexam has a body that is completely different from what already exists. Far more futuristic than any other duck.

In other words, there is no Underbone Yamaha variant of like it. That distinguish the obvious is the brake lever on the left and right handlebar. Then, Footstep without the rear brake pedal and only available perseneling foothold wide enough to make the foot free of duty, his duty is only to support the motor when stopped.

That distinguishes it from Nouvo by Lexam is Yamaha Compact Automatic Transmission (YCAT).

Nouvo engine design on the CVT tends to conventional long dimension is designed with Lexam has very compact dimensions. Rely on machines with a capacity of 115cc, single cylinder, air-conditioned. Has a high elasticity of power, heat-resistant belt with PULLEY designed and optimized cooling system.

If you look at the concepts pretty well compared with the Nouvo. 17-inch rim is much more variable than 16 inches. Similarly, judging from the design, ideally the hell did make consumers more familiar and fascinated as biased toward the motor type of duck.

How will priced this motor? When converted into rupiah, the price in Vietnam there is 14.5 million rupiah will be obtained.

PT. Yamaha Motor Kencana Indonesia (YMKI) as Sole Agent Brand Holder (ATPM) Yamaha brand motorcycles, there is likely to be released in Indonesia, but they will do some survey first.

Understandably, the new technology is usually viewed cynically by the people of Indonesia. Call it the past experience, Nouvo not so popular. But Nouvo role not be underestimated, because opening the way Mio and other automatic scooter.

Honda Wave 110i AT

BANGKOK - After introducing Yamaha motorcycle Lexam as their automatic duck, Thai Honda finally released form of duck motorcycles (Cub) which uses CV-Matik.

Automatic duck was carrying a Honda Wave 110i AT. With used CV-automatic technology, then this bike will certainly equipped automatic transmission skutik(scooter automatic) similar but has a unique body type Cub motorcycle. As a result, the control was so much easier than the common duck.

As reported by the Paultan site, other than CV-Matik technology and type of transmission, there was almost no significant changes from the Honda Wave.

It's just that the body design is now more stylish look with the use of two additional lights under the headlights. Even a cursory form now face like Honda Vario.

In the country of White elephant,Wave 110i AT priced 44,900 Baht or about 12, 5 million rupiahs. And after Thailand, Vietnam reportedly is the next country that will launch Honda's automatic duck.

Suzuki Thunder 150 cc In Indonesia

Motorcycle with a big capacity now returning to be a trend.

One manufacturer is rumored to be issued this type of motor is PT Indomobil Suzuki International (ISI) is a Suzuki motorcycle sole agent in Indonesia. It is said, will issue a Suzuki Thunder 150 cc is a refinement of the Suzuki Thunder 125 cc.

Ducati 1198R Corse SE Special Edition 2010

2010 Ducati 1198R Corse

2010 Ducati 1198R Corse

Engineered by the stopwatch, designed by the race track.

The 1198 S Corse Special Edition marks the historic introduction of a new Ducati Corse logo and features a factory team-style aluminium fuel tank, bold Corse colour scheme and a race kit.

Features and Benefits

Concept

Superbike heritage
Ducati Superbikes, designed, engineered and built in Bologna, Italy, have always represented the pinnacle of Ducati motorcycle technology and racing success. For Ducati, racing and winning are a way of life and a way of thinking for our designers, engineers and everyone at the factory. Our unique engineering solutions are proven on the race track, where the only way to win is to have technical superiority and dependable performance.

Ducati have dominated World Superbike racing, winning more Riders' and more Manufacturers’ World Championship titles and more individual races than any other manufacturer. Add these unequalled performances to the historic achievement of winning the MotoGP World Championship, and the results speak for themselves.

Engineered by the stopwatch
Ducati Superbikes are the most advanced, most powerful twin-cylinder motorcycles ever built. They are the product of a team of designers and engineers who have combined their Ducati MotoGP and World Superbike technologies to create the finest sportbikes in the world. From race-level engine specifications to World Championship-winning traction control, the results are pure excellence. The Ducati Traction Control (DTC) system further underlines our technology flow from racing to production and demonstrates how solutions developed for the track can be applied to enhance safer performance on the road.

Designed by the race track
Ducati Superbikes are race bikes, pure and simple. Their striking aerodynamic shapes create a natural riding position, confirmed by our development and factory team riders as the optimum for speed and agility. Performance is first and foremost in every detail.

Trademark Ducati features like the high tail section and compact front end combine with twin under-seat silencers and single-sided swingarm to express the sheer engineering beauty of aerodynamics and agility. Add the Testastretta Evoluzione engines as the hearts of the machines and the result is all-out performance Ducati Superbikes that look fast even when parked.

S philosophy
The 'S' version Superbike creates a dream package by taking everything that the 1198 model has and adding top-of-the-range suspension, lightweight chassis components and Ducati's impressive DTC traction control system.

The 'S' sets the standard for lightweight performance. On any sport or race bike, the most effective area to reduce weight is its 'unsprung weight'. These are components like tyres, brakes and wheels. Lighter wheels have a lower 'moment of inertia' that is beneficial with every direction change and application of the brakes. The 1198 S addresses this important area by mounting forged and machined wheels. Both front and rear are super lightweight and their benefit is immediately apparent. The weight saving is further enhanced with the application of a carbon fibre front fender.

Ducati Corse Special Edition
The winning of both the 2009 World Superbike and Superstock Manufacturers’ titles is a fitting stage on which to present two exclusive and exciting special editions built to mark the historic introduction of a new Ducati Corse logo. The 1198 S Corse Special Edition and 1198 R Corse Special Edition are both equipped with factory team-style aluminium fuel tanks, Ducati Traction Control and a special celebratory Ducati Corse livery.

2010 Ducati 1198R Corse

Engine

Desmodromics
The incredible valve performances of our engines are only possible because of Ducati's unique Desmodromic system, where valve closure is activated mechanically.

At high rpm it would be almost impossible for the valve to follow the steep closure profile of the cam lobe if it were relying upon a normal valve spring. With the Desmo system, the valve is closed mechanically with the same accuracy as it is opened, enabling steep cam profiles and radical cam timings.

This system is used on every single Ducati power unit including our world-beating Superbike and Desmosedici MotoGP engines.

Magnesium alloy covers
The weight-saving cam covers in magnesium-alloy are evident by their gold colour.

High-effieciency cooling
Its race-developed fairing design ensures perfect integration with the cooling system by providing efficient flow through the advanced, large surface area coolant radiator, which is assisted by lightweight, high flow electric fan assemblies and oil coolers.

Exhaust system
Incredibly lightweight, the exhaust system has been engineered with a power-increasing symmetrical 2-1-2 layout that uses 52mm-57mm diameter tubing with a wall thickness of 0.8mm (0.30in). It is equipped with a catalytic converter and two lambda probes for optimum engine mapping and Euro3 conformity. The system terminates with Ducati's trademark twin under-seat silencers, delivering that unmistakable signature sound of the big bore Desmo 90° L-Twin.

1198 Testastretta Evoluzione
The Testastretta Evoluzione engine is the crowning glory of our development and the perfection of the L-Twin engine. World Superbike dominance for almost two decades is the result of continual commitment to our twin-cylinder configuration. We now share the reward for that commitment with World Championship-winning technology constantly flowing from the factory race team into our production engines.

Volumetric efficiency through the four valves per cylinder is optimised with valve diameters at 43.5mm for the inlet and 35.5mm for the exhaust.

Vacural® crankcases
The 1198 Testastretta Evoluzione engines are the lightest ever used in Ducati Superbikes, thanks to Vacural® technology, a crankcase vacuum die-cast manufacturing process yielding weight reductions of 3kg (6.5lbs) compared to the 1098 Superbike cases. The process ensures consistent and precise wall thickness and increased strength from absolute material purity.

Power & torque curves
The 1198 engine produces 170hp (125kW) @ 9,750rpm and a class-beating 97lb-ft (13.4kgm) of torque @ 8,000rpm.

Crankshaft
The 1198 capacity is achieved using exactly the same 106mm x 67.9mm bore and stroke as the factory race bike.

Elliptical throttle bodies
To keep the highly efficient Testastretta cylinder heads breathing to their full potential, the injection system uses MotoGP-derived elliptical throttle bodies with an equivalent diameter of 63.9mm.

Race-derived detail
The 1198 engines all share the same attention to race-derived details.

Race-designed 1198 pistons have a distinctive double-ribbed undercrown to achieve high strength and reduced friction by using minimal piston wall surface area. Using technology developed for the Desmosedici MotoGP project, the design enables reliable operation of the 106mm diameter pistons when performing at high rpm.

Racing-type rocker arms are 'super-finished' for reduced friction and fatigue at high rpm.

The gearbox's carefully calculated specification allows the use of a high ratio 6th gear, fully enabling the speed increase achieved from additional performance modifications (suggested for track use only). Also with performance in mind and because of its high resistance to fatigue, the gears are machined from the same high-strength steel used in Ducati Corse race applications and are subjected to a shot-peening treatment that further ensures their strength.

Yamaha YZF-R1 2010

2010 Yamaha YZF-R1

Introducing the 2010 R1 … Yamaha's technical "Tour de Force."

The MotoGP-inspired R1 is the most advanced Open-class production motorcycle.

The R1 has been designed to be the "Ultimate Cornering Master" of the open super sport class and one of the keys to incredible handling lies partly in the chassis but equally as important, in its ability to put useable power to the ground. This revolutionary cross-plane crank R1 delivers as much power as the rider wants, exactly when the rider wants it … by a simple twist of the right wrist; leaving the rider feeling like they are directly connected to the rear wheel of the new R1.

Forget everything you ever knew about the supersport liter class. The 2010 Yamaha YZF-R1 is unlike anything before. That's because it's the world's first production motorcycle with a crossplane crankshaft. The result? Incredibly smooth power delivery and outrageous torque for a rush like you've never experienced.

The 2010 Yamaha R1 represents a paradigm shift in technology, performance and controllability among litre class sport bikes. Inspired by Yamaha's M1 MotoGP race bike, this latest generation R1 features a crossplane crankshaft design with an uneven firing order to provide outstanding yet easy to control torque and an exceptionally linear throttle feel never experienced before. But there is far more to the R1 than just a revolutionary engine.

2010 Yamaha YZF-R1

Features and Benefits (USA):

Key Features:

" The YZF-R1 garnered the prestigious award as the 2009 Motorcycle of the Year from Motorcyclist Magazine. The YZF-R1 was chosen for its MotoGP®-inspired engine and chassis technology, and for its luxurious fit and finish.

" Back for 2010, the YZF-R1 is the only production motorcycle with a crossplane crankshaft. Crossplane technology, first pioneered in MotoGP® racing with the M1, puts each piston 90° from the next, with an uneven firing interval of 270°- 180°- 90°- 180°. This uneven order does an amazing thing… it actually lets power build more smoothly. That means smooth roll-on delivery out of the corners, with outstanding tractability, followed by very strong high rpm power. It's a feeling that's simply unmatched, like having two engines in one: the low-rpm torquey feel of a twin with the raw, high rpm power of an inline four. This breakthrough technology on the YZF-R1 represents a paradigm shift in both technology and performance.

" This R1 keeps all the technological superiorities developed for its predecessor: YCC-T™ (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) is MotoGP® inspired fly-by-wire technology used to deliver instant throttle response. YCC-I® is Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake which is a variable intake system that broadens the spread of power. The fuel injection system provides optimum air/fuel mixtures for maximum power and smooth throttle response.

" The R1 features Yamaha D-MODE (or drive mode) with rider-selectable throttle control maps to program YCC-T performance characteristics for riding conditions. The standard map is designed for optimum overall performance. The "A" mode lets the rider enjoy sportier engine response in the low- to mid-speed range, and the "B" mode offers response that is somewhat less sharp for riding situations that require especially sensitive throttle operation. Switching maps is as easy as pushing a button on the handlebar switch.

" In keeping with this machine's exceptional cornering ability and crisp handling, the aluminum frame has been designed to offer exceptional rigidity balance. The rear frame is lightweight Controlled-Fill die-cast magnesium, contributing the optimum mass centralization. Suspension includes SOQI front forks which use one of the tricks developed for our winning MotoGP® bikes: independent damping. The left fork handles compression damping and the right side handles the rebound damping. And the rear shock adopts bottom linkage for optimum suspension characteristics.

" The bodywork does more than add break-away-from-the-crowd styling with its more serious, less busy look. The side fairing is smooth for a sleek appearance. And, instead of the usual four-bulb headlight design, the R1 has only two projector-type bulbs mounted closer to the nose of the bike. This positions ram air ducts closer in for a more compact, smooth look. In addition, the rounded lenses are unique to the supersport industry.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2010

2010 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
When You’re Ready to Get Serious, We’ve Got Your Motorcycle

Open class sportbikes are all about power, and the 2010 Kawasaki Ninja® ZX™-10R continues to set the pace, on track and off. The formula is simple, but the execution is critical: The ZX-10R offers tremendous horsepower, but delivers it with refined controllability through a highly evolved aluminum frame rolling on top-shelf components developed on the track and refined for the street.

The 10R returns with a host of refinements for 2010. New more aerodynamic bodywork is designed to slice through the atmosphere cleanly at speed, and to look even better doing it. A new fairing with a stronger family resemblance to its ZX-6R sibling leads the way for the rest of the minimalist new plastic, and a new, dark gray embossed coating on the bike’s titanium muffler carries the light, slick theme rearward. Inside the cockpit, new inner covers reflect the high quality and performance of the rest of the ZX-10R package.

All that power needs to be kept in check, of course, and rider feedback has led to the fitment of a new, premium 18-position Öhlins steering damper. The new damper uses sophisticated internal circuitry, including pistons and springs, to keep the Ninja tracking straight and true under the most challenging conditions.

Putting that power to asphalt is also critical, and significant upgrades to the six-speed transmission’s shift mechanism handle that task with even greater efficiency. Changes to the guide hole plate, shift shaft, return and set springs and shift collar all collaborate to reduce clearances at the pivot — resulting in more precise, positive gear changes every time. Smooth downshifts are enhanced by a standard, back-torque limiting clutch.

The Ninja’s 998cc, four-cylinder engine continues to crank out the kind of straight-shortening power that leaves other liter bikes in its wake. Fed by a bank of four 43mm Keihin throttle bodies with two injectors per cylinder and bristling with 16 titanium valves, the ZX-10R uses a highly advanced Kawasaki Ignition Management System (KIMS) to dole out all that power with maximum control. KIMS monitors all standard fuel injection input data (engine speed, throttle position, vehicle speed, gear position and feedback from intake air temperature, intake air pressure, engine temperature and O2 sensors), but adds one more crucial wrinkle by checking for sudden changes in rpm every 0.02 seconds. Highly sophisticated, KIMS is programmed to leave control in the rider’s hands, but will retard ignition when a sudden increase in engine rpm exceeds programmed parameters.

A track-oriented fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork and advanced rear suspension are designed to work with the ZX-10R’s carefully tuned aluminum frame for unparalleled feel and feedback. Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating on the fork tubes reduces stiction for precise action. A four-way adjustable rear shock includes low and high-speed compression damping, and controls the pressed aluminum swingarm via the latest UNI-TRAK® linkage design.

Light and stiff squeeze-cast wheels keep unsprung weight down and suspension performance high; their reduced rotational inertia further enhances the 10R’s quick steering and acceleration. Radial-mounted Tokico brake calipers controlled by a radial master cylinder squeeze 310mm petal discs up front with maximum sensitivity, while the rear 220mm petal disc is stopped by a single-piston caliper.

Wrap it all in that sleek new bodywork, add fuel, and you’re looking at an even more beautiful version of the most highly advanced, high-performance Kawasaki sportbike ever.

The Ninja ZX-10R truly shines on the racetrack, thanks to technology developed on Kawasaki race bikes. Although designed to offer maximum performance on the circuit, the same power and handling that provide such amazing on-track performance, also make it more fun for riding on the street.

The current ZX-6R debuted in 2009, featuring what was quite possibly the best sporting transmission Kawasaki has ever produced. For 2010, Kawasaki’s engineers applied similar technology to the ZX-10R’s gearbox, with internal modifications aimed at reducing play in the shift mechanism and providing a more-precise feel at the lever. The result is smooth, effortless shifting with clean and positive gear engagement.

Like its gearbox, the ZX-10R’s adjustable twin-tube Öhlins steering damper also received internal modifications for improved performance. A separate spring and free piston were added to the reservoir tube to enhance damping stability, and a new titanium colored finish and laser-etched logo update the damper’s external appearance.

Always an aggressive and technologically interesting motorcycle to look at, the 2010 ZX-10R’s bodywork features updates to give it a lighter, more-compact appearance. A new single piece front fairing reduces the visual weight of the ZX-10R’s front end, while new inner panels provide a tidier look around the handlebar area. Adding to the effect of the minimalist bodywork, sharper new side panels incorporate more black into their design, helping the 10R to appear even more compact. A new muffler completes the appearance updates, with a new dimpled surface pattern, metallic grey paint finish, and a compact end cap providing a smaller appearance and more sinister look.

Designed to offer a high-level base package with the stock engine and chassis performance to satisfy even professional racers, the already potent Ninja ZX-10R receives some fine-tuning and a revised styling package for 2010.

Authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers.

2010 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

WINNING FEATURES

Back-torque limiter
• Easily adjustable back-torque limiting clutch facilitates smooth downshifts. This highly acclaimed feature is one of the main contributors to the rear’s stable composure under hard braking.

Smooth-shifting transmission
• Precise gearbox allows gears to click into place smoothly and firmly.
• *NEW* Revisions to the transmission shift mechanism, including a guide pawl plate with smoother contact surface for reduced friction, new change shaft shift mechanism arm with increased rigidity, larger diameter return spring pin, new change shaft collar with tighter clearance, and revised spring rates for the return and set (detent arm) springs, offer smoother shift touch and feel.

Aerodynamics
• The slight step at the edge of the front cowling reduces windblast on the rider’s shoulders while allowing a design with an aerodynamically efficient small frontal area.
• Fuel tank has a recess in its top to accommodate the helmet’s chin area, making it easier to tuck in behind the windscreen when riding on the circuit. This allows the top of the screen to be set lower and enables more ideal aerodynamics when in a tucked position.
• The fairing’s minimalist side panels reduce the influence of side winds on the bike.
• Front fender directs air toward the radiator, increasing cooling efficiency, and contributes to the Ninja’s sharp looks.
• Sharp, minimalist tail cowl is further enhanced by the single side muffler – all of which gives the bike a more concentrated and condensed look and feel. The tail’s under cowl is a flush-surface item which reduces turbulence at the rear of the bike and ensures laminar airflow around the seat.
• A large rear inner fender helps keep the bike clean in the real world of street riding. The mud flap could consequently be made smaller and less obtrusive, improving aerodynamic qualities around the rear of the machine.
